Algebraic multigrid methods (part 2)

Multigrid methods are methods for solving linear systems arising from discretization of Partial Differential Equations. This class of methods achieves convergence rates which are, in theory, independent of the mesh size. The main idea of algebraic mulitgrid methods - the construction of intergrid transfer operators - will be presented. The lecture is an extension of the previous one (A brief introduction to multigrid methods) and will be given in Czech.
