Department of Image Processing

Breast ultrasound imaging is rather vivid area with many challenging problems: the acquired images are characterized by high level of speckle noise and low contrast between objects of interest and background.

In this talk, we shall review some of the image processing methods used in this field, with focus mainly on the methods used for image segmentation and classification.
