I will talk extensively about the principles of the positron emission tomography. This modality can reveal functional processes in a pateint's body. I will introduce our research on injection dose optimization and I will provide some motivation for it. I will comment more some radiation protection issues. The presentation will be based on my previous public lecture. Therefore, it is very simple and illustrative. Still I believe it will be useful also for you, especially if you are interested in a broader context of what our research is conducted for.
